Santa Ynez Valley Balloon
Ride
Incredible sunrise balloon flights
in the Santa Ynez Valley just 40 minutes from Santa
Barbara. Solvang, Los Olivos, Buelton, Los Alamos, Lompoc,
Santa Maria, Ventura, Carpinteria, Goleta, Ojai and San
Luis Obispo are all within a short driving distance. Your
California wine country balloon adventure will be three
hours in duration give or take a couple minutes. Unlike
other California balloon flights which take place in crowded
metropolitan areas, our tours start in the quaint country
town of Los Olivos. As soon as you meet our flight crew
your adventure begins. Back country roads, colorful ranchers
and tall tails spun by our crew will entertain you as
we search for the perfect launch site. Opportunities to
help our crew inflate the balloon are available, just
ask. Your balloon flight will be 35 minutes to one hour
in duration. Our incredible flying machine will soar to
several thousand feet providing views of the entire Santa
Ynez Valley. At higher altitudes views of the Pacific
Ocean and the Channel islands may be visible. Other portions
of the Santa Barbara California hot air balloon flight
will be spent floating gently a few feet above the countryside.
Deer, wild boar, Red tail hawk, Eagles and other local
wildlife are commonly sighted. These here
California balloon adventures are incredible. Every
flight is followed by the traditional champagne toast
and presentation of flight certificate.

Wine Country
Combine our balloon flight with a jeep and wine tour
from Cloud Climber Jeep Tours for an unforgettable journey through Santa Barbara County.
Tour includes; hotel pick up at dawn, balloon flight package
in the wine country, strolling time in Solvang,
Jeep tour to selected wineries for tasting, lunch and
transport home via the historic Stage Coach Road.

A great flight today. We flew a box pattern
and landed right next to the chase truck. During the flight
our guests a young couple from Ventura got Engaged. I've
seen several engagements before but this guy was smooth.
I got it on video. He whipped out the ring, showed it
to the camera and said, "Will you marry me? :)". No crying,
no screams just a simple yes and lots of kissing. Five
minutes later we were descending towards the trees and
a juvenile bald eagle swooped down and grabbed a ground
squirrel. It was amazing! Dust was flying and the bird
jumped back into the air. At the same moment two Red Tail
Hawks came rushing at the bird nearly knocking it out
of the sky. The threesome disappeared over the horizon
in a flash. I never know what any flight will bring but
that was extra cool.

Another great flying season in Los Olivos.
The winter rains turned the valley into emerald green.
Light winds and gentle landing prevailed. We had many
a nervous first timer and several repeat veterans on our
flights. Wild life was abundant and local folks most friendly.
The views of the ocean and channel islands are incredible
from 4000 feet above the valley. The vineyards below were
just starting to bud. Something tells me we are going
to have great wine this fall. Our new crew member Sean
added a need muscle to our operation and Chris even showed
up once for fun. I can't wait to get back in the fall
for another big adventure.

Take
the 101 to Los Olivos Exit, hwy 154. 2 miles to Los Olivos.
Turn Left on Grand Ave. 1 block down is the country market.
We meet in front of the market. (Good Coffee and snack)
Park on the right hand side of the street. Look for the
Adventures Out West trailer and Van.
From
Solvang
Take Alamo Pintado to Los Olivos. Turn Right on Grand
Ave and go into Los Olivos, past the flag pole and park
on the left hand side of the street. We meet at the country
market. Look for our Adventures Out West balloon trailer.

South
Guest
can take the 101 or hwy 154 from Santa Barbara. Follow
the signs to Los Olivos. Turn left on Grand Ave 1 block
down is the country market. We meet in front of the market.
