GROUP TOUR DESCRIPTION - for meeting planners
Jeep Foothills Tour

One of our Jeeps parked high on Gold Camp Road

Escape for a few hours to take in the beauty and history of Colorado Springs.  Waterfalls, 100 mile views, the Garden of the Gods, and two National Historic Districts all are included in this jeep tour.

Your tour begins as you are picked up by a Cowboy guide in our custom 4x4 safari-style Jeep Scramblers.  Head out of town via North Cheyenne Canyon past, Helen Hunt Falls and into the foothills of Pikes Peak.  2000 feet above Colorado Springs we follow the old Shortline Railroad grade down through two old railroad tunnels. Even though it's been 100 years since the train stopped running, you'll still see evidence as black cinder smoke stains still adorn the walls and ceiling of the tunnels. to the Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs Historic Districts.  The views out over the city to the plains of Kansas are as great as 105 miles. Stop for photos at "Inspiration Point" where Teddy Roosevelt once gandered out and stated..."this view bankrupts the English language!"

Along the tour your guide will be sharing tall tales and true stories about Colorado and the West.  In the summer months the top can be off the Jeep and your photo opportunities are unlimited.  We complete the drive with a tour of the Garden of the Gods with its spectacular red rock formations.  If you sweet talk your guide there is a good chance he or she will let you stop along the way to pick out a Colorado memento or two before you return to the hotel. The Garden of the Gods Trading Post is our most popular shopping spot.

Depending on time, your cowboy driver will take you through the quaint town of Manitou Springs famous for its' bubbling mineral springs. Your guide will even let you sample the naturally carbonated spring water...high in calcium and iron.

We recommend adding a cooler of beverages for each Jeep to enjoy.
